Revamped Export View and new home for Job Settings

We’re excited to announce a major revamp to our export view! With this, you can now export both media and data with just a few clicks.

In the export view, you can toggle between media and data exports. For media, you can choose a format that fits your needs—whether it’s capturing every detail or providing a quick overview. In the data export view, you can easily export your selected analysis data, either the full range across an entire experiment or just the endpoint values.

This update simplifies the export process by eliminating unnecessary data clutter, allowing you to focus on your experimental results.

The new Export button is located in the top-right corner of the job view. As part of this change, we’ve separated the export and job settings, which were previously grouped together.

You can now access your Job Settings — renaming, stopping, and deleting a job — by clicking on the job name in the job view.

Software Improvements:

Analysis Selection: We’re thrilled to introduce our brand-new Analysis Selection feature. Now, you can pre-select the appropriate analysis for each job or project, minimizing errors, saving time, and ensuring accurate data interpretation. Learn more here.
Self-service Network Configuration: For every new robot we ship, connecting to your wifi has gotten a lot easier. In fact, you’re now able to set it up yourself with our new self-serve network configuration option. For detailed instructions, check out our Knowledge Base article.

Cut through the noise with Analysis Selection

At Reshape, we’re dedicated to helping you obtain your experimental results faster, making them more accurate, and minimizing manual involvement.

We have an exciting update that will speed up your access to results by eliminating the noise around your experimental data gained from Reshape’s automatic analysis.

If you’re familiar with the Reshape platform, you might have found yourself spending time switching between tools to find valuable insights or selecting the wrong analysis in your data export. We knew that there was room for improvement.

So! Starting today, we’re happy to announce our brand-new Analysis Selection. This update will allow you to choose the appropriate analysis for every new job created, ensuring you always view the correct data points for your experiments. You can also set the analysis for an entire project, so every job created within that project automatically uses the pre-selected analysis.

This update aims to avoid misinterpretation of data, reduce the number of clicks, and eliminate the need to switch between Reshape and other tools, saving you time and minimizing the risk of looking at incorrect data.

As July comes to an end and the heart of summer is upon us, we’re eager to share the latest and greatest updates. We hope you have had a little time to soak up some sun and enjoy some time off over the summer. Here at Reshape, some of us have been off, while the rest of our team has been busy enhancing your Reshape experience. Let’s explore the new updates:

Software Updates

Product Update Notifications: A new pop-up in the lower left corner will notify you of new updates on the Products Updates page, helping you stay informed about the continuous development of the Reshape platform.
Enhanced Temperature Graphs: Temperature graphs now zoom in on the target temperature for better readability, with color cues: gray for out-of-spec temperatures and green for in-spec temperatures (see example below).

Optimized Interface for Single Image Jobs: We removed the playback and added data as cards instead of graphs for a more streamlined interface in single image jobs (see example below).

Revamped ‘Create Job’ Panel: The ‘Create Job’ panel now features improved user interface elements, including consistent styling across inputs, enhanced mobile responsiveness, and new auto-select and autofocus functionalities.
Direct Links in Data Exports: Data exports now include a direct link to the specific well you’re looking at, facilitating quick access to visual documentation.

Hardware & Firmware Updates (from version 0.7.0 and up)

Improved Resilience to Internet Outages: Imaging devices now better survive short periods without internet access, significantly improving the retention and retrying of image uploads during/after an internet outage.
Auto-Updates for Imaging Devices: Imaging devices will auto-update their firmware on Wednesday nights, effective after a power cycle.
Overhaul of Lens Control: We have significantly improved the robustness of lens focusing.

As June wraps up and summer begins, we’re excited to share the latest enhancements to the Reshape platform. While many of you might be heading out for vacations, our team has been hard at work to enhance your experience. Let’s dive in:

Software Updates

Scroll anchor on Job List: The job list now remembers your place on the page (the anchor), allowing you to return to the same anchor after accessing a job from the job list.
Cross-Project Views: You can now view, search, filter, and sort jobs, plates, and wells across different projects, with the system remembering your search queries and filters. Links to specific search views can be shared by copy/pasting the URL.
Insect Pipeline: A general pipeline has been deployed to measure insect size and activity over time. Contact our support team if you have insect experiments you’d like to conduct with Reshape
CFU Detector: A new and improved version of the CFU detector has been deployed.

Hardware & Firmware Updates

Minor Firmware Overhauls: Numerous small improvements have been made to enhance overall performance.

As May comes to a close, we’re excited to announce a new wave of product updates to the Reshape platform.

This month, we focused on enhancing the user experience. We fixed some errors on our fans, introduced deep linking, and made our UI more intuitive. A lot is happening behind the scenes at Reshape as we expand our team rapidly after our latest funding round – all investments aimed at improving and expanding our offering. Let’s dig in:

Software Updates

Deep Linking: We introduced deep linking to plates and wells. When viewing a specific well or plate, you can now copy the URL and share it. The link will open to the same plate or well view, providing a colleague with visual context. Remember to toggle the job ‘share’ setting on/off to control who can see it.
Light Labels: On the newer Imaging Units, we’ve simplified the light and fluorescence labels seen when creating a new job to make them easily understood.
Help Menu: A handy Help menu is now located in the lower left corner. It contains links to contact our support, access the knowledge base, and this product updates page.

Hardware & Firmware Updates

Fan Error Fix: We created a fix for an error in the Imaging Units’ fans that, under very specific conditions, caused the system to stop jobs. This fix will be deployed with the newest version of the firmware.

Spring has sprung (at least here in Denmark!). It brings brighter days outside and within Reshape.

In this new format, we try to wrap up everything Reshape for you in an easily digestible format. In this month, we were excited to share our new Projects feature. We also made improvements to turbocharge our software, plus we made some significant improvements to our robots.

🎉 Feature Releases

Finally we were able to unveil something we’ve been working on for a while; a net little feature called Projects. Projects help you organize jobs into projects. It makes it easier to navigate and find relevant data and analysis. Read more here.

Hardware & firmware updates

Launched back in February but was missed by many – why it deserves an extra honorary mention: We have implemented color patterns on the robots’ door lights to indicate the robot’s status. This way you won’t have to interrupt the robot if it’s running a job. See what the colors mean here.
Another slightly older update, that deserves an honorary mention: We have significantly improved the image quality of both RFP and GFP images by eliminating background noise.
The color calibration of robots has been significantly improved, resulting in much-improved color reproduction.
Robots are now additionally being calibrated for perspective effect, to correct for any misalignments like shapes, centering, and physical size calibration, i.e. area/size of object in the image.

Software updates

We’ve restructured and cleaned up the backend of our product. We won’t bore you with the details but the outcome is interesting; Reshape Discovery (our web app) now loads much faster and will only keep improving.
We’ve added loading spinners on images when the system is fetching your job images.

We're excited to introduce 'Projects' — an easy way for you to manage your Jobs in Reshape. This feature allows you to organize jobs into clearly defined projects, simplifying how you navigate and access the data that matters most to you.

'Projects' not only helps keep your Reshape workspace tidy but also ensures that all relevant analysis and job data are at your fingertips when you need them. It’s designed to make your workflow more intuitive and efficient, so you can focus on what's important; your work in the lab.

New streamlined Jobs page

We've rolled out a new look for our Jobs Page, and we're excited for you to check it out. We aim to make your experience smoother and more intuitive, focusing on what matters most to you - your experiments.

Here are a few highlights:

Plates Take Center Stage: Your plates are now the stars of the show, taking up more screen space for a clearer view of your work. A simple click on a plate opens up a detailed pane on the right allowing you to zoom and see plate analysis.
Enhanced Media Player: We've upgraded our media player to give you better control over your experiment videos, including start and stop times, lighting presets, and a new brightness slider to fine-tune the visibility of your experiments.

More information at your fingertips: When selecting a job, the right-side panel consolidates all job information, including robot ID, creator details, temperature, and plate type making it easier to get a comprehensive overview at a glance.

To give you a quick intro, we’ve created this demo. It’s interactive if you go to full-screen – give it a try!

We believe these changes will not only make you more efficient when working in the Reshape platform but also make the work more enjoyable.

A beautiful new Dashboard

Starting from today, when you log in you will find yourself in the 'Home' part of the menu. Here you will see the brand-new Dashboard designed to give you an instant overview of jobs and bots.

The new Dashboard includes:

Running Jobs Overview: Immediately see how many of your robots are in action, along with the number of hours they've been working. This helps you understand your platform's utilization at a glance.
Recent Jobs Quick-View: No need to sift through lists anymore. See the status of your most recent jobs right from the dashboard, making it easier to track progress.
Active Robots Status: Get a clear view of what each of your robots is up to—whether they're offline, idle, or busy with tasks. It's all about making your next steps clearer and more intuitive.
