New Device Access Controls

We’ve updated the Devices page (again) to give multi-group organizations more flexibility and control. Group Admins can now control device permissions across the organization.

To manage device access, go to Devices in the menu, click the three dots at the top right of the specific device, and select your desired action. Available actions depend on your role.

With this update, Group Admins can:

  • Grant or revoke device access for individuals and/or other groups.

  • Rename devices managed by their group.

  • See who can access and run jobs on each device.

Group Admins cannot remove their own group as the device manager.

With this update, Group Members can:

  • View all devices in their organization.

  • See which group manages each device.

  • Run jobs on:

    • Devices managed by their group

    • Devices another group has explicitly granted access to (on group or member level)

ℹ️ What’s a “group-managed” device?

These are devices tied to a specific group. Right now, device group management is fixed, but this will change with the introduction of Org Admins, who will be able to reassign devices across groups in your organization.

We hope you like it ✨
